- Johnnie Ralph Sykes, age 73, of Geneva, passed from this life late Sunday evening, April 30, 2017, in San Augustine. He was born to Pawnee (Oliver) Sykes and Johnnie Sykes on June 2, 1943, in California.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas 75972. Rev. Martin Doran will officate, with visitation Tuesday evening, May 2, 2017, from the hours of 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Sabine County.
Johnny was well loved in the Geneva Commmunity and San Augustine, and often was found visiting on the phone. He was disabled having epilepsy and had lived with his beloved Mother, Pawnee, his entire life until she predeceased him in 1999. He attended McMahon Chapel Methodist Church in Sabine County.
He is survived by numeorus cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Pawnee (Oliver) Sykes and Johnnie Sykes.
