- Troy Gerald Smith, Sr. 73, passed away Monday evening, January 25, 2016, in the Nacogdoches Medical Center, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Troy was born August 24, 1942, in Sabine County to Troy A. and Lula Mae McNaughten Smith. He was the owner of Smith TV Sales and Service and Smith's Trucking. Troy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will dearly be missed by all of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Martha Smith of Hemphill, sons: Troy Smith Jr. of Hemphill, and Artie Easley and wife Toni of Rosevine, his daughter Linda Beasley and husband Bobby of Kilgore, brother Jerry Smith and wife Theresa, and his 5 grandchildren: Craig Cooper of Florida, Auldon Easley of San Augustine, Kylar Easley of Rosevine, Brittany Hardy of Henderson and Stormi Retherford of Rosevine.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Thursday, January 28, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St. Hemphill, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:00AM, Friday, January 29, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery.
