Ivy Davidson Buckley, 88, of Beaumont died Monday, Dec. 30, 1996 at a Beaumont Hospital.
He was a native of Sabine County and had lived in Jefferson County several years. Buckley was a retired operator with Texas Gas Company.
Survivors, wife, Grace Gilchriest Buckley of Beaumont, sons, Dwaynee Buckley of Beaumont and Gerald Buckley of Vidor: six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside rites were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gravelhill Cemetery in Sabine County following 10 am funeral services at the Kelley & Watkins Funeral Home chapel in Beaumont.

- In her transcription of the Hemphill City Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary indicates that there is a grave marker inscribed "Infants of Y. E. and M. L. Buckley-Sleep on sweet babes and take thy rest, God called thee home He thought it best"...and that no dates were given
