Gay was preceded in death by her father, O.B. White. She is survived by her son, Cody Wayne Scott of Lake Charles; daughter, Amy Perez of Fayetteville, N.C.; mother, Bobbie Lou White of Pineland, Texas; brother, Wendell Wayne White of Lake Charles; sister, Pam Reich of LeCompte and five nieces; two nephews and two granddaughters, Elena and Olivia. Gay loved fishing, spending time with family and friends, cooking and taking care of her animals. She was a nurturer with a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery in Hemphill. Pallbearers will be Trey Reich, Josh Reich, Danny Scott, Gareth McCown, Jason Francis, Kyle Savoie and Eric Snow. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wendy White McCown, Katie White Snow, Lacie White Savoie, Lensi White and Cherish Reich Francis.
