Funeral for C.L. Boyett, 91, of San Augustine, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine, with the Rev. Rick Russell officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Memorial Garden.
Boyett died Sept. 25, 2004, in San Augustine.
Born Jan. 22, 1913, in Sabine County, he was the son of Columbus Simon Boyett and Emma Curl. He was retired as a lineman for Deep East Texas Electric Co-Op, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in San Augustine. He had served on the San Augustine City Council, was a member of the Redland Masonic Lodge No. 3 and a past fire chief for San Augustine Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Lucette Neal Boyett of San Augustine; son, Charles Boyett of San Augustine; stepsons, Billy Neal of Nederland and George Neal of Newton; brother, Paul D. Boyett of Almagorda, N.M.; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
