Jody Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Brookland Cemetery, Joaquin. Boyett died Oct. 7, 2004, at his residence. Born Feb. 29, 1932, in San Augustine, he was the son of Johnny H. and Audrey Barnett Boyett. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Haslam. He was employed with Joaquin ISD in maintenance and with the Joaquin post office. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Boyett of Joaquin; sons, Johnnie Joe Boyett, Wayne Boyett and Jackie Boyett, all of Joaquin; daughter, Mary Boyett Stanley of Joaquin; brother, A.J. Boyett of Logansport; and 10 grandchildren. Mangum Funeral Home, Center. Shown as the grandson of John Edward Boyet and Olive Thornton by Ken Cottle.
