  Notes	Obituary, as copied from FindAGrave Mrs. John Mark After an illness of eleven years, Mrs. John Mark passed away on Wednesday morning, January 3, [1940], in her home on South Seeger Street. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. E.M. Gibson at 1:30 p.m. today (Friday) in the home. Interment will be in Elkland Cemetery. Laura A. Tanner was born in Ontario, November 26, 1868, and came to Tuscola County in 1875. She was united in marriage with John Mark on December 15, 1897, and they made their home on a farm northwest of town until September three years ago, when they bought and moved to the residence where she passed away. Mrs. Mark had been poorly for a long time and has been confined to her bed for the last seven weeks. She has been a member of the Methodist Church for many years, combining the qualities of a good neighbor with those of a faithful follower of God. She was a person of kindly disposition, broad minded, patient and a friend to everyone? a friend, whom it was a genuine pleasure to meet. Besides her husband she is survived by four brothers, Aaron Tanner, Grayburn, Sask.; George Tanner, Gold Hill, Oregon; Elijah, Seagrave, Ontario, and Daniel, of Detroit.
