- Called "Bee," after his middle name, which was simply the initial B. On his form SS-5, he is listed as Marion B. Pointer, other sources list him as Manne B. Pointer. In 1937, he lived in Kirbyville, and was working for Oscar Baker in Silsbee.
The digital image of his actual Texas Death Certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, shows him as Mannie B. Pointer, and lists his locaton of birth as Placid, Texas. He is shown as the son of Granville Pointer and Alice Holland. He was a veteran of WWII, and died at the VA Hospital in Houston, the information on his death certicate was obtained from his records on file with the Veterans Administration. His usual occupation was an automobile mechanic. He was buried at the VA Cemetery.
