A native of Port Arthur, and longtime Southeast Texas resident, he had lived in Lake Toledo Bend since 2000. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Port Acres in 1952. A long time Carpenter, he retired from the Carpenter's Local #610 in Pt. Arthur. A Baptist minister he ministered throughout Southeast Texas. Survivors include his wife of over fifty three years Dorothy McFarland, son, Lee McFarland, daughter Glenda Green, brother Perryman McFarland, sister, Daisy Rushing; four grandchildren, Shelly LeBlanc, Kris McFarland, Candice McFarland and Christy Green Howard; five great grandchildren, Sadie, James, Darian, Carly and Maya.
