The Sabine County Reporter June 10, 2009, Page 16 Daisy Rushing Daisy McFarland Rushing, 80, of Burkeville died Friday, May 29, 2009, at her residence. She was a native of Hemphill and had lived in Burkeville and Pt. Acres several years. Mrs. Rushing retired from T. S. O. in Pt. Arthur. Survivors: daughters, Carolyn Ann Henderson of Burkeville, and Pat McCullor of Lumberson; brother, Perryman McFarland of Port Arthur; 10 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, L. P. and Minnie Morris McFarland; husbands, Pete Gonzalez and W. J. Rushing; daughter, Sharon Watts; brother, Archie McFarland; and sister, Dolores Crowder. Graveside rites were held Tuesday, June 2, at Antioch Cemetery near Buna. Visitation was held at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Chapel in Burkeville. Online obituary and guest book available.
