Herbert V. Woods
Herbert V. Woods, 68, of San Augustine died Monday, September 11, 1995, at his residence on Congress Street.
He was born Nov. 18, 1926, in San Augustine County and was a longtime area resident. Woods, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, was a member of the First Baptist Church and a staking engineer with the Deep East Texas Electric Co-op.
Survivors: wife, Frances Nichols Woods of San Augustine; three daughters, Karen Woods of Lufkin, Amber Ellison of Rosevine, and Cindi Caston of San Augustine; a son, Vince Woods of Lufkin; his mother, Ellie Birdwell Woods of San Augustine; two sisters, Blanche Murray of San Augustine and Bobbie Loukas of Pt. Arthur; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at First Baptist Church in San Augustine with the pastor, Bro. Jim Moss, officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens.
Services are being handled by Wyman Roberts Funeral Chapel in San Augustine.
