N. Austin Edgar
Funeral services for N. Austin Edgar, 82, of Hemphill were held Monday, Aug. 15, 1994, at the chapel fo the Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Buddy Pratt officiationg. Interment followed at Hemphill City Cemetery.
He died suddenly Sunday, Aug. 14, 1994, following services at the Camp Springs Baptist Church.
Born Dec. 6, 1911, in Sabine County as a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Valentine Edgar, he was a lifelong resident of the area and a retired farmer/rancher. Edgar, a member of Camp Springs Baptist Church, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Ima Lee Smith Edger; and two sisters, Florence McBride and Emily Smith, all of Hemphill.
