- Bobbie Jim Horton, 84, passed away Saturday night, October 15, 2016 in the Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill, Texas. Bobbie was born July 28, 1932, in Bronson, Texas to John and Anna Craig Horton, Sr. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1951. He served in the United States Army. He worked on Pipelines as a Heavy Equipment operator.
He is survived by his son John Horton of Bronson, Texas, his daughters: Bobbie Strickland and husband Jim of Pineland, Texas and Guinn Harley and husband Tommy of Plainview, his grandchildren: Jason Harley, Josh Harley, Caleb Harley, Justin Duck, and Robin Ezernack. Also, his 9 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Thursday, October 20, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rosevine Cemetery.
