- Jane Zimmerman writes that he was born in Neudorf/Nova Ves. He was the son of Anton Grimm and Anna Schmidt. She also indicates that along with their ten children, Adolph and Charlotte raised their nephew, Art Grimm. He was the son of Ed Grimm and Mary Shamberger, or a double first cousin to the children of Adolph and Charlotte. He married Lillian Zimmer, a sister to Reinhart Zimmer, who married Elizabeth Grimm.
