  Notes	In 1777, Oliver served in the Connecticut Militia in the Revolutionary war. He was captured by the British at the time of the Danbury raid, April 1777, and carried to New York. (Connecticut Men in Revolution, p. 493) After the war he sold his tannery and removed to Poultney, Vermont, where he purchased a farm. He owned one right in the Susquehannah Purchase as an original proprietor. (Milford Land Record Book 24, pp. 363, 561).
