Mrs. Anna Bures
Anna Ruzicka bures was born June 18, 1878 on a farm near Wilber, NE. She departed this life at her home in Geneva, NE, Wednesday, August 17, 1949 at the age of 71 years and 2 months. She grew to young wonmanhood near Wilber and later moved with her parents near Tobias, NE. She was united in marriage to John Vesely (sic) and to this union was born one son, who died in infancy. May 1, 1902 she was married to Frank Bures and together they spent most of their lives on a farm near Geneva, later retiring and moving to town. Her husband preceded her in death, November 23, 1940. This union was blessed with six children, all of whom survive. They are Edward and George of Geneva, Mrs. Josephine Kutler of Eldorado, KS, Mrs. Agnes Schmidt of Fairmont, Mrs. Lillian Pribyl of Tobias and Alice, at home. There are also three step-children, Mrs. Anna Rohla of Exeter, Mrs. Helen Sluka and John Bures to whom she was the same as a mother. Several grandchildren, two sisters and one brother also survive. Her interests were always in her home and her family. Although she was bedfast several months she was patient to the very last and enjoyed having friends and her children with her. She was a member of the X.C.B.J. lodge of Exeter. A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our hearts, that never can be filled. May she rest in peace. Funeral services were held at the Kritner Funeral Home in Geneva, Saturday, August 20. Rev. K. L. zavadil of Wilber delivered the serman. Mrs. Harold a Rosenau sang. Short interment services were held at the North Milligan cemetary with Virgie Lee Havel and Mrs. I. A. Havel rendering the song service. Six grandsons acted a pallbearers.
