- Her daughter, Michael Stropkai Boshears emailed, in February 2014, that "my mother, Tin Lea Stropkai, was formerly named Cecil Audrey Lea McLemore. Like me, she was named after her father, Cecil, later changing it to Tin (a nickname given to her by her father) after the courthouse that held her birth records burnt down. "

- Teri Stuart shows them as the parents of eleven children: Carrie, Cathy, Claude, Clyde, Doris, Fred, Max Ray, Ruth, Tin, Bruce Aaron and Daran Irene. It appears that several of these children may have died young, as they are not found on the 1930 census with their siblings.
