J. W. Kilcrease
J. W. Kilcrease, 72, of Pineland died at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, at a Beaumont Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1923, in Shelby County, he had lived in Pineland 38 years and was a member of the Rosevine Missionary Baptist Church. Kilcrease was a retired truck driver for Temple-Inland Forest Products and had served 35 years with the Pineland Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors: his wife, Joyce BUCKLEY Kilcrease of Pineland; a daugher, Cathy BIRDWELL of Pineland; four sons, Larry L. Kilcrease, Kenneth G. Kilcrease Sr. and Greg Kilcrease, all of Pineland, and Jerald Kilcrease of Jasper County; three sisters, Maggie DEARMAN and Joyce MOTT, both of Pineland, and Lydia HORTON of Rosevine; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Vance R. Purtell and Bro. Don R. Falke officiating. Interment followed at Pineland City Cemetery.
