  Notes	The Sabine County Reporter Page 14, June 13, 2007 Obituaries Novie Whitmire Cones Novie Whitmire Cones, 86, of Lumberton died on her birthday, June 2, 2007. Mrs. Cones was born June 2, 1921, in Hemphill as a daughter of the late Walter Lee and Bulah (Youngblood) GOOCH. As an active member of the First Baptist Church in Silsbee, she was a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Cones was retired from Baptist Hospital as an admitting clerk. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tucker WHITMIRE. Survivors: her husband of 16 years, John D. CONES; daughters, Gladys BAGGETT and husband Larry of Spring and Carolyn McLEMORE of The Woodlands; stepchildren, Ronnie FORMAN and husband Fred of Houston, Kenneth CONES and wife Anita of Tyler, and Johnny CONES and wife Donna of Los Angeles, California; a sister, Gladys JOHNSON of Florida; grandchildren, Tracie BROOKS, Jeremy BYROM, Julie BYROM, Jill SHEFFIELD, Dustin McLEMORE and Josh BYROM; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 5, at First Baptist Church in Silsbee with Dr. Scott Moody officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Beaumont. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Silsbee, 350 Hwy 96 S, Silsbee, Texas 77656. Services were under the direction of Claybar/Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
