- Michael Wayne Wood, 67, passed away in his home, Wednesday, July 20,2016.Michael was born in Hemphill, Texas, to Luther Leroy and Eula Mae Felts Wood.He was a life long resident of Hemphill and graduated from Hemphill High School. He was in the United States Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a Lathe Technician for Temple Inland.
He is survived by his son Michael Thomas Wood and wife Nacole of Hemphill, his daughter Amy Whiteside and husband Michael of Hemphill, his sister Lexie "Sis" McCarter of Tyler, and his 10 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sue Ann Wood.
Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, July 22,2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St. Hemphill, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 23,2016, in the Harper Chapel Cemetery.
