  Notes	Cass City Chronicle Thursday, January 16, 1969 Page Three Lifelong resident, Mrs. O. Nique, dies Mrs. Ida S. Nique, 87, widow of Otto Nique, died Thursday, Jan. 9, in Hills and Dales General Hospital where she was a patient four days. Daughter of the late J.H. and Sophia STRIFFLER, she was born Jan. 24, 1881, in Cass City. She was married June 14, 1905 to Mr. Nique. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1955. He died Sept. 29, 1958. Mrs. Nique was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and a charter member and past worthy matron of Decker Chapter No. 438, OES. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George DILLMAN of Cass City; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. F.A. SMILEY of Pontiac, and Mrs. A.W. WEAVER of Flint. Funeral services were held in Little's Funeral Home Sunday. Rev. Ira L. Wood and Rev. S.R. Wurtz officiated. Burial was in Elkland Cemetery. (Transcribed by Melinda McLemore Strong, Winter 2007)
