Verna Marie Ebarb
Graveside services for Verna Marie Ebarb, 79, were held in the Springhill Cemetery on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. She died January 4, 2009, in her home in Hemphill, after an illness.
She was born October 30, 1929, in Sabine County and has lived her all her life. Mrs. Ebarb was a member of the East Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church. She worked privately as a caregiver.
She is survived by her sons: Johnny Ebarb of Hemphill, Joe David Ebarb of Pineland, and Ivy C. Norton of Milton, FL. Four daughters, Linda M. Blanton of Lufkin, Lucy Bolt of Hemphill, Sandra Ellis of Palestine, and Sharon Christian of Pineland. One brother Robert Ferguson of Hemphill, sisters; Patsy Canzoneri of DuPree, WS, Frances Milner of Sugarland, and Dorthy Welch of Houston; twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. I.W. "Buckshot" Ferguson.
Contributions to the Springhill Cemetery Fund, First State Bank, Hemphill, TX 75948, would be appreciated by the family.
Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill was in charge of arrangements.
