- The following is from the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home Site; Obit was in Beaumont Enterprise on February 3, 2005. Funeral Home Gives Date of Birth to be February 12, 1919. Funeral services for I.D. Hyden, 85 of Jasper, will be held on Friday, February 4, at 2:00pm at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3, beginning at 5:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Hyden passed away on Wednesday, February 2, at Dickerson Memorial Hospital in Jasper. A native of Yellowpine, Texas, he was a lifelong resident of the Jasper area. He retired as an Operator for the Texas Highway Department. Survivors include his two sons, Dennis Hyden and wife Mary Margaret of Holly Springs and Ivan Gean Hyden and wife Moon of Killeen; daughter, Dixie Cooper and husband Robert of Magnolia Springs; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 52 years, Davada Williams Hyden and granddaughter Heather. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association
