Bro. Lonnie B. Harley
Bro. Lonnie B. Harley, 65, of Pineland died at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1995, at his residence on FM 2024.
Bro. Harley was born Oct. 8, 1929, and had been a lifelong resident of Sabine County. He was a minister, serving as pastor of Strickland Chapel Church of God on FM 2024, and was self employed owning Lonnie B. Harley Logging Contractors.
Survivors: wife, Willie Dean (Bragg) Harley of Pineland; a daughter, Mrs. Dallas (Kay) Welch of Pineland; sons, Lonnie Ray Harley and Randy Harley, both of Pineland, and Tommy Harley of Bronson; mother, Minnie Harley of Pineland; a sister, Elizabeth Fore of Pineland; a brother, Leonard D. Harley of Hemphill; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Harley.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Strickland Chapel Church of God with Bro. Tommy Long, Bro. Vance R. Purtell, and Bro. Glenn Morton officiating. Interment followed at the Plainview Cemetery. Services were handled by Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.
Pallbearers: Arvin Easley, Millard Smith, Bobby McClelland, Gary Fore, George Welch and Barry Easley.
