Wanda Carpenter
Wanda Williams Carpenter, 86, of Jasper, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. A native of Sabine County she was a longtime Jasper resident. She was very active at Beech Grove Baptist Church where she held many offices in the church.
Services were held Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Jasper with burial at New Hope Cemetery near Milam.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Wayne Carpenter of Jasper; son Ronald Wayne and Debbie Carpenter of Jasper; sister Evelyn Bragg of Milam; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Williams; brothers, Sam and Melvin; and sisters, Eula, Iva and May.
Memorials may be made to the Beech Grove Baptist Church Library, c/o Beech Grove Baptist Church, 1008 FM 777, Jasper, TX 75951.
Services were under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
