- When he registered for the draft during the first World War, he was a self employed farmer in Ripley, Alabama. He was shown being medium heighth and build, with gray eyes and dark brown hair. His registration for World War II showed the same date of birth, with the location being in Hardin, Tennesse, and his residence at the time in Howard, Maryland. He is buried at the Baltimore National Cemetery.
