His birthplace was Maranda City, Texas, with his parents names not listed, "unable to obtain" was instead written. He died in the shome of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Alexander of Portland, Mrs. Alexander also being the informant. He was buried in Three Rivers, Texas. The Handbook of Texas online notes that Miranda City, Texas was an oil boomtown.
