Jane Ellen Hill (n?e White), born on April 1, 1955, in Hemphill, Texas to Rex White and Atrell Wright White, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, in Jasper, Texas at the age of 69.
A lifetime resident of Sabine County, Jane was a graduate of Hemphill High School. She dedicated her life to her family, embracing her role as a loving housewife, mother, and caregiver. Jane was the heart of her household, known for her nurturing spirit and the warm, welcoming home she maintained.
Jane married Ralph Hill, Sr., nearly 48 years ago, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Hill, Sr. of Hemphill; sons, Lee Craig Hill (Rhonda) of Bronson, and Ralph Carson Hill, Jr. of Hemphill; daughter, Jennifer Hill (Mark Weaver) of Hemphill; brother, Frank White (Sherry) of Beaumont; sisters, Mary Lou Adams of Conroe and Carolyn Erwin (Roy) of Huntington; and her cherished grandchildren, Alissa, Summer, Kaden, Carson, Kenny, Megan, Brantley, Casen, Chase, Paisley, Keith, Christian, Courtney, James, Brittany, and Hailley, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Cheyenne Hill; brothers, Charlie White, R.C. "Dink" White, Billy Joe White, and Fred White; and sisters, Frances Denby and Betty Ann McGown.
Jane's passions included crafting, gardening, and caring for her chickens. She relished the time spent with her grandchildren, and her love for the outdoors was evident through her enjoyment of fishing and camping. Jane also enjoyed playing BINGO with friends.
Visitation for Jane will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
Funeral services will commence at 2:00 p.m. in the same location, officiated by Bro. Rex White and Bro. Lamar Denby.
Burial will follow at Meador Cemetery, Milam, Texas.
