Betty Lucille Temple
Betty Lucille Temple, 70, of Groves died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Temple was born Nov. 3, 1933 as a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Franklin) and Brady Ross McDaniel and had lived in the Groves area several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Groves and the Groves Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She had been employed by the City of Groves as an elemetary school crossing guard for several years. Survivors: three daughters, Pam Thrasher of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, Sharon Murdock of Groves, and Karen Cawley of Nederland; a son Wayne Temple of Nederland; a sister, Mary Beth ISENBLITTER of Nederland; seven grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ernest Temple. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the chapel of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, with Dr. Joe Worley officiating. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
