- Sheena Denene Easley, 53 of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sabine County Hospital.
Sheena was born September 14, 1964 in Jasper, Texas to Arvin and Jean Collins Easley. She worked in the nursing field as a C.N.A. She spent her life in Sabine County and Bastrop County.
Sheena attended Hemphill ISD and was a member of the graduating class of 1983. She enjoyed go fishing and camping. She also had a great interest in genealogy, delving into the past and researching her family tree. She loved to cook and feed everybody, especially the kids that lovingly called her "Nantie".
She is survived by her parents, Arvin and Jean Easley of Hemphill, Texas; son, Karl Dolphus and wife, Taresha, of Austin, Texas; daughter, LaTosha Taylor and husband, Wayne, of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Sheela Bennett and husband, Tony, Sheeta Easley Gaspard and David Gaspard, and Misty Haynes, all of Hemphill; seven grandchildren, one great grandson, three nieces, two nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Callie Mae Easley; her maternal grandparents, Joseph Aaron Collins and Ora Enta (Phillips) Collins; and two nephews, Ronald Sevado Procell, II (Ron) and Rustie Stephen Procell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time.
