  Notes	Sabine County Reporter May 19, 2004 Edith McDaniel Mrs. Edith Bly McDaniel, 91, of Beaumont, died Thursday, May 13, 2004. A former resident of Sabine County, Mrs. McDaniel was born in East Texas as a daughter of the late Lavenia and Charles A. BLY, a longtime Methodist minister in the area. She had lived in Beaumont for several years, where she retired from the White House Store and volunteered at Beaumont Medical and Surgical Hospital. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and Beaumont Chapter #71, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Diane McDaniel of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Jay HURLEY of Beaumont; seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fred McDaniel, in 1968. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Broussard's Mortuary Major St. Chapel in Beaumont.
