Notes |
- Mark Freeman has her date of birth as 1848, but this contradicts both the 1850 and 1860 census. George Rogers, a descendant, emailed in September 2013 that Margaret Jane "had children from her only known marriage. One son George Edward Rogers and daughter Francis or Fannie. She was married then separated from her only known husband a George W.(Washington) Rogers. When they separated Geroge took his son George Edward Rogers (my grandfather) and Margaret took her daughter Fannie. No idea where Margaret went. George W. Rogers lived in Lavania, Carroll County and remarried a Susan Elizabeth (maiden name Pritchard)Butler whom was married with previous children from her late husband Mr. Butler."
