      Robert Charles Rumer

      Robert Charles Rumer, 75, of Hemphill died Friday, Nov. 10, at his residence. Rumer was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Ridgeway, Ohio, as a son of the late Helen Louise (Barker) and Robert Alred Rumer and had lived in Los Angeles, California, before moving to Sabine County in 1988. A Korean veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the VFW and retired from the construction industry. He is survived by two sons, Robert Charles Rumer Jr. of Rosemead, California and George Henry Rumer of Elmonte, California. Graveside rites were held Nov. 20 at Restland Cemetery in Waskom. Services were under the direction of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.
