- Joe Patrick Morgan went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27. He was born November 12, 1974 in Orange to Carl and Patsy Jo Morgan and grew up in Jasper. Joe attended Lamar University in Beaumont where he met his loving wife, Jaimie Humphreys. After their marriage in 2002, Joe took a position with Edward Jones Investments in Atlanta, Ga. and Pensacola, Fla. and became a successful Investment Representative. Joe and Jaimie celebrated the births of their daughters, Skylar Joanne in 2004 and Carlee Ruth in 2006. Joe was a man who lived life to the fullest and brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
His precious "Granny," Patsy Ruth Norman of Vidor preceded Joe in death. He is survived by his wife and daughters he adored, Jaimie Humphreys Morgan, Skylar Joanne Morgan, and Carlee Ruth Morgan of Pace; a son, Carson Martindale of Jasper; his grandfather, Joe C. Norman of Vidor; his father, Carl Morgan, Jr. of Jasper; his mother, Patsy Jo ("PJ") Norman of Vidor; his sisters, Chantel (Mike) Smith of Cape Cod, Mass.; and Michelle Morgan of Nederland; his cousin, Stephen Carl (Nancy) Morgan of Jasper; nephews Hudson Smith and Grayson Morgan; nieces Morgan Smith, Margaret Smith, Patience Morgan, Taylor Morgan, and Lauren Morgan; Ric and Nancy Humphreys, Richard Humphreys, Jr., and Jenny Humphreys of Pace, Fla. Quincy Martindale with the Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 601 West Gibson, Jasper will perform the funeral services. Today, Wed., Aug. 2 from 4 -5 p.m. at Forest Oaks Chapel, followed by the burial service. Internment will be at the Jasper Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Ebarb, Pat Hardy, Michael Broussard, Carl Morgan, Cory Lathern and Jimmy Ellis. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made at any branch of Bank of America to the special account for Jaimie, Skylar and Carlee Morgan.

A similar obituary was in the August 2, 2006 Sabine County Reporter. His eldest son was referred to as Carson MONROE, however, and not as Carson MARTINDALE.
