Obituary Frances McDaniel Cannon, 86, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at CHI St. Luke's Hospital in Lufkin, Texas. Frances was born in Yellowpine, Texas on December 19, 1935 to James Wendell McDaniel and Lodema Caroline Jones McDaniel. She had spent a number of years in Beaumont before returning to Sabine County in 1983. She was a housewife and mother. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Cannon Smith and husband, David, of Newton, Kathy Cannon Stanley and husband, Mason, of Warren and Peggy Cannon Clark and husband, Lynn, of Yellowpine; brother, James Michael McDaniel and wife, Bonnie, of Beaumont; sister, Janice McDaniel Jones and husband, John, of Lumberton; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wendell McDaniel and Lodema Caroline Jones McDaniel and her husband, James Kendall Cannon. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Yellowpine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Caden McDaniel officiating.
