  Notes	Wynema McGrew noted that "in 1898 Martha H. Goode petitioned the Lavaca County Court for the guardianship of Oscar L since his mother was dead and his father in jail." His Texas Death Certificate shows he was married, and worked for a contractor. His middle name was shown as Lee versus Lorenzo, and his mother was listed as Eva Jones versus Eva/Evie Goode. At the time of the 1900 census, Oscar lived with his grandmother, Martha Goode. Perhaps the death certificate was in error, or either his mother or grandmother had been married more than once.
