The funeral for Pearl Louise Miksch, age 82, of Enid, will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kevin Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Pond Creek Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. She was born to Oscar Leon and Willie Louise (Baugh) McMinn on April 13, 1925, in Merkel, Texas, and died Friday, February 1, 2008, at her home in Enid. She grew up in Barnsdall and graduated from Barnsdall High School. On November 5, 1944, she married Mark "Bud" Leonard Miksch in Barnsdall, and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas. She worked for the Sedgwick County Public Schools until her retirement in 1983. In 1985, they moved to Rogers, Arkansas, and Mark died October 6, 1997. In April 1998, Louise moved to Enid to be near her daughters. She was a member of Central Assembly of God Church, where she was active in the Senior Saints, Star Widows, and also taught Sunday School. Louise is survived by two daughters, Mary Kraus and husband Tom of Pond Creek, and Deborah Campbell and husband Alan of Enid; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Bud in 1997. Memorials may be made to Central Assembly of God Church Missions Fund or Hospice Circle of Love.
