Notes |
- The 1930 Census shows that George and Stella were married and were living in Port Arthur, Texas. He was shown as owning his home, worth $10,000. He was the proprietor of a Cafe, and she was a waitress at a Cafe, presumably his. George may have been previously married, as his age at the time of his first marriage was 32. Stella would have only been 16 at the time--and at the time of the 1920 Census, she was listed as still living with her parent's in Wyoming, and listed as being age 17.
Living with George and Stella in 1930 was 18 year old Floyd D. NICHOLS, Nephew. He born in Montana to parents both born in Michigan. Both George, and his parents, were born in Michigan as well. Floyd was a bell-boy at a hotel.
FindAGrave indicates that his parents were Andrew Phillip COONS and Emma Josephine DIETZ.
