  Notes	BORDES, EDWARD MORLAS - age 82, passed away June 25, 2008. Born on May 29, 1926 in New Orleans, Louisiana, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by: daughter, Nancy; brother, Leon Bordes; and parents, Leon and Clothilde M. Bordes. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elnora Myers Bordes, and family: Rebecca, David, Alison, and Dava Toppins, of Clinton; Stephanie, Kenny, Tucker, and Kyle Phelps, of Kernersville, North Carolina; Melinda Bordes, Chlotia Bordes, and Diana Gossett, of Knoxville. He also leaves brother and sisters, Rita Myers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lee Perino of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Leonard Bordes of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. An active member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Ed served in the past as a Church Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He continued to help with the Sunday School Program up until the time of his recent illness. He was an avid coin collector and a member of the Smoky Mountain Coin Club. In his younger, healthier days, Ed loved to play golf and was a longtime member of Beaver Brook Country Club. The family will receive visitors at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, 11am - 2pm Saturday, followed by a graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery, with Pastors Dr. James McClusky and Rev.
