- Obituary published in the Fostoria Daily Review, Fostoria, Ohio on 12 May 1941, P. 1, Col. 6 and available to view at the Kaubisch Memorial Library in Fostoria. He was the father of Clarence E. Cramer of Chicago, who was the author of "The Family of Johan Helfer Cramer (Revolutionary War Pension W-2762) With Historical Background." Clarence reported that his father's estimate of his forebears could be summarized as follows: "The Cramers --- They all owned their own farms, lived to an old age, were exceedingly strong charactered people, raised large families, good Christians, never had a divorce or lawsuit in their history."
