- John Thomas "Bubba" Sutton, 81, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 in Shady Shores of Hemphill, Texas.
John was born March 14, 1937 in Hemphill, Texas to George Oran Sutton and Florence Partin Sutton. He was a United States Army Veteran and later offshore production operator. He attended Hemphill Church of Christ.
John is survived by his sons, Titus Ray Sutton and wife, Janet, of Hemphill, Texas and John Oran Sutton and wife, Karissa, also of Hemphill; daughter, Maria Sutton Cox of Hemphill; grandchildren, Kristen Cox, Kelcie Sutton, Brady Sutton, Chelsey Sutton, Samuel Sutton and John Joseph Sutton, all of Hemphill; great granddaughter, Hadilyn Hanzel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oran Sutton; his mother, Florence Sutton; sisters, Donice Miller and Elizabeth (Sissy) Greer; aunt, Estelle Partin Suess; and grandson, John Shannon (Shan) Cox, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Hemphill Church of Christ, 400 Main St., Hemphill, Texas.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas.
