  Notes	From Nora GENTRY LOCKLIN 1987: "The dreadful flu of 1918 struck the United States....On December 15, 1918, my brother Jesse Alvin died. He was in Draughon's Business College in Abilene. He went to visit a school friend out of town for the week-end. He lay down in the train staition to wait for the next passenger train, fell asleep and missed his train. He took a cold and developed pneumonia. He lasted only a week. Papa and I were with him at the end." Texas Death Certificate # 58764.
