  Notes	A 1908 graduate of Milligan High School, he went on to attend Peru State Normal College and eventually the University of Nebraska. He was a school principal and also served as County Treasurer at Geneva, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army during World War i. He reached the rank of Sergeant First Class. After moving to Bird City, Kansas in 1925, he founded and edited the Bird City Times Newspaper. (Milligan, p 346-347).
