- Could he be the James Ernest King, also born ca 1892, who married Edna Tatom in 1922? Seems unlikely as he and Vernon Maund can be found on both the 1920 and 1930 census listings, first in Sabine County and later in Sabine Parish, and responded that they had been married approx. 16 years.
