- William Morris Anthony was born ca June 1827 in what is now Sabine Parish. His property contained 1200 acres of land and he was listed as having more than 6 slaves in 1861. William was a Police Juror for some time prior to the Civil War and served in the CSA as a Lieutenant in the Second Louisiana Calvary. He wa a member of the Little Flock Lodge No. 180, and listed as Methodist. William is listed as a boarder in the home of E.M. and Willie Morris in 1900. (Casagranda, 1850 Census, p 77).
