- Etta Geraldine Jacks, 84, passed away in the Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill. Etta was born in Sabine County to Wesley and Essie Mae Thomas Smith. She was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church; she worked as a certified nurse's aide for the Sabine County Hospital and private duty.
She is survived by her son Tommy Jacks and wife Virginia of Pineland, her three daughters: Linda Lou Jacks of Pineland, Sharon Boulware of Dickinson, Texas, and Tommie Jean Clark and husband Ivy Lee of Pineland, Texas, her nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Graveside service is at 11:00AM, Friday, July 3, 2015, in the Jacks Cemetery in Pineland, Texas.
