Notes |
- Jane Teel Youngblood of Emerald Bay, formerly of Henderson, entered into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on August 20, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born January 6, 1934 in the Edna Gladney Home in Tarrant County and was lovingly chosen to be the daughter of Frank and Bennie Youngblood in San Augustine. Raised up in faith at First Baptist Church, in both San Augustine and Jasper, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a young age. After graduation from Jasper ISD, and Baylor University, she taught in Texas public schools in Port Arthur, Spring Branch, Henderson, and Allen. Jane was a caring and devoted teacher who consistently stressed the importance of family involvement with her students, and received an outstanding teacher recognition by Henderson ISD. She enjoyed retirement at Emerald Bay community, often saying her happiest days were there with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob; daughter, Mary Catherine Stephenson and husband Dr. Scott Stephenson of Dallas; son, Robert Allen Youngblood II and wife Melissa Youngblood; and brother, Frank Dowling and wife Jackie of Austin. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Benjamin, James, and John Stephenson, and Brandon and Jessica Youngblood. Jane and Bob celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on July 16, 2012.Graveside services were conducted in Bethel Cemetery in Rusk County on Thursday, August 23, 2012 as well as memorial service at Emerald Bay Community Church with Dr. Jay Riley officiating at both services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emerald Bay Community Church at 160 La Salle Road Bullard, TX 75757, and or the Bethel Cemetery Association at 4467 CR 314 S., Henderson, TX 75654.
