Miss Ruth Schenck entertained five friends at a picnic supper at Caseville on Friday evening in honor of her guest, Miss Marguerite Hertel, of East Lansing. Miss Hertel and Miss Schenck are roommates while attending summer school at Central State Teachers' College at Mt. Pleasant, and they spent the Fourth and the following weekend with Miss Schenck's mother, Mrs. William McKenzie.
In the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST, Volume 9, September 2, 1946, it was reported that Ruth Schenck taught a term in the Newington Home for Crippled Children in Conneticut, and was going to teach kindergarten in Cass City in the current year.
