As of the 1910 census, Lany was listed as an in-patient at a hospital in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas. By 1920 she had returned to Sabine County, and was living with her son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Viney McDaniel. Her Texas Death certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, shows her name as Lannie McDaniel, and that she had been predeceased by her husband. She was shown as a lifetime resident of Sabine County. The informant was Una McClelland.
