Mae Bell Chance
Mae Bell Chance, 90, of Orange died Friday, June 25, 2004 at Oakwood Manor in Vidor. Mrs. Chance was born in Sabine County and had lived in the Orange area several years. Survivors: sons, Dewey Chance of Beaumont and Daniel "D.L." Chance of Orange, sisters Abbie WELLHAUSEN of Pearland, Elbie LEWIS of Silsbee, Bernice EXLINE of Vidor; and Lillian MOORE of Deer Park; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Vessie Ray CHANCE; parents, Albert and Emma FERGUSON; sons, Doyle Ray CHANCE and Bryan Kermit CHANCE; brothers, Percy R. FERGUSON and Jence E. Ferguson; and a sister, Wilma Fay MYERS. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Claybar Funeral Home's chapel in Orange with Bro. Jeff Bell officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange County. Claybar Funeral Homes, directors.
